“The simplicity of the concept is
ingenious - opening up the back of the property; creating a
mezzanine under which the bicycles still have a home; and use
of light woods and render is eyecatching. We were particularly
impressed with the attention to detail, especially in the oak
carpentry. The architect's transformation, of the ordinary into
the beautiful and exceptional, is the embodiment of the
principle of the Ibstock Downland Prize and makes this project
the worthy overall winner”
